Steven Adams hasn’t so much climbed as lit up the NBA draft board following his surprising workouts at Chicago’s predraft combine. The question now, for some, isn’t whether the 7-foot New Zealander can help the Celtics. It’s become a matter of whether they would trade up from the 16th pick to take him on June 27. Adams’ abrupt rise may be happening a little too fast for the talent evaluators. Two years ago, he was a senior at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg. Last winter, he was a University of Pittsburgh freshman who averaged a modest 23 minutes per game. Now Adams, who worked out for the Celtics last Saturday, is a potential lightning strike for the right team....
